The essentials, before you join.

Who is Velocity 6 for?

Early-stage tech startups with a live product, real users, a technical founder or partner, and at least 3 months of operation.

Do I need a technical co-founder?

You need a founder or committed partner who is technical and owns the build. We check this with a short technical walkthrough of your stack.

What happens after I apply?

The core team scores your application against our ten membership standards. If you pass, you do a 30 to 45 minute interview with two members, which includes a live product demo. If you’re accepted, you onboard the community on your product.

What does a product review cover?

The group reviews your product in depth: security, infrastructure, design and experience, and legal compliance. You get a written summary with 3 strengths, 3 fixes and owners within 48 hours.

What counts as proof in the weekly sprints?

Every reported achievement needs proof, such as a release note, screenshot, metric, signed deal or published post. Unproven claims earn no points.

What is expected of me as a member?

Post 3 to 5 goals every Monday and report results every Friday. Attend product reviews, like member posts, repost launches, and take ownership of one area of community work, which rotates each quarter.

What happens if I’m not accepted?

You get written feedback and can reapply after 3 months.

What happens if I miss sprints or break the rules?

Engagement problems follow a warning process: a private reminder, then a formal warning with a 30-day window, then removal if nothing changes. Integrity breaches, such as scamming users, fake traction or ignoring legal requirements, lead to immediate removal. Removed members can reapply after 6 months, except for integrity cases.
